ARBO's Digital Silence

Today I had more time to dig through the small handful of Steep Haywire dumps I've yet to process, and among them is ARBO: Een Goede Zaak. A proud bearer of the "Compact Disc Interactive" logo, the title is mastered (as the ring code indicates) as "Digital Silence" - 55 minutes of it to be precise - but don't take my word for it, you can download here and listen to the 0's yourself.

CD-i Case Type - Longbox

Longboxes are an almost-US exclusive case style. A single title was released in Europe in this style of case - "Lenting van Etten Advertising".

EMPTY CASE: Notice the raised areas "BURN:CYCLE" and the faces.

FULL CASE + Ultraviolet Light: The raised areas match up with the artwork to accent them. The Ultraviolet Light illuminates the neon case.

PC CASE: The PC version has a similar case.

Redump Archive Updated

 I'll keep it short 'n' sweet because I'm busy as all heck these days. The last couple months Redump preservationists have not slowed down.

The Redump Archive.org CD-i set has been updated for the first time in about ~3 months. I'd have a hell of a time going through some of these new additions if time permitted, but you can enjoy the adventure instead. Enjoy these new dumps & thank you to all the contributors! You know who you are <3

Preservation Donation #001

A three-title donation arrived at Preserve CD-i's Dutch branch (aka Landcross) sent from the generous gentleman Coen (who spotted the titles on the Redump miss list).

 

Palm Springs Open has quite a few regional/serial number variants out in the wild - of which the only two undumped serials are 699 013-2 and 699 0132 - that's right, you're not seeing double - the disc label received a printing with and without that extra dash. The serial variant sent from Coen is the version with a dash.

Head Crash is a music + animation music title released as a standalone (I believe), as well as in a Triple Pack with two similar titles..

Beeld van Nederland rounds out the set. It's a VCD (with CD-i logos) documentary of Netherlands during WWII. This one will go directly onto the Preserve CD-i archive.org account as a standalone entry later this month.

Another Dutch Rescue Mission for Preservation

American CD-i colonist Blazers appropriates another fine batch of CD-i discs for his vast collection of worldwide CD-i rarities via the help of gentleman Dutch native Landcross <3

Undumped titles or serial number variants which will be headed to redump.org's database include: Crocodile Dundee II, Flashdance, 15 Bkende Kinderlied Jes Deel 2 (I ain't spell checkin it), 15 Bkende Kinderlied Jes Deel I (not spell checkin this one neither), In the Wake of Captain Cook, crying game, Rain Man, Krays, Untouchables, Prelude, Tom Picture Show.
